Dr. Michelle Taylor is a licensed psychologist and a licensed private investigator. Dr. Taylor started her own firm in 2000 after working for seven years at a firm where she was a Managing Principal and Director of Threat Assessment and Management. She has been a consultant to prominent people and organizations including corporations, corporate executives, law firms, attorneys, human resource executives, entertainment and business public figures, schools, universities, and government agencies for the past fourteen years.
Dr. Taylor has personally conducted several thousand threat assessments and workplace investigations involving inappropriate and/or illegal behavior, including workplace violence, sexual harassment, hostile work-environment, policy violations, stalking, drug use, and discrimination. She provided advanced training on threat assessment and management to several Fortune 500 corporations and government agencies. She was an invited expert participant at the FBI’s Workplace Violence Symposium.
Dr. Taylor has interviewed, evaluated, and provided individual treatment and crisis management services to thousands of inmates in the Los Angeles County jail system, working as a clinical psychologist in the forensic program. Dr. Taylor also provides individual and group therapy to adults in a private practice setting.
Dr. Taylor developed and implemented an executive coaching program specializing in behavioral change, managing difficult employees, management and leadership success, and customized implementation of well known management techniques and leadership theories. Dr. Taylor has conducted numerous organizational evaluations, providing recommendations toward the goal of improved workplace relationships and profitability.
Dr. Taylor completed her clinical/organizational training in psychology at UCLA’s staff and faculty counseling center where they provide brief therapy for UCLA’s faculty and staff, executive coaching, organizational and management consultations, critical incident support, and workplace violence prevention consultation.
Dr. Taylor completed a mediation certificate program where she practiced interpersonal, corporate and civil dispute resolution techniques. Dr. Taylor completed a Domestic Violence training program and volunteered at the Domestic Violence Project training volunteers and working with battered women and their children.
Dr. Taylor co-authored a chapter in Violence in Our Lives: Impact on Workplace, Home and Community, published by Simon and Schuster’s higher-learning division (Allyn & Bacon, 1999). She has designed, conducted, and presented several empirical research projects regarding workplace violence, workplace deviance, organizational climates, supervision styles, stress, and work-life issues.
Dr. Taylor has been interviewed as a stalking expert, and has appeared in several news programs and magazines. She is a speaker and trainer to corporations, entertainment companies, public figures, and the criminal justice community. She has addressed such topics as workplace violence, sexual harassment, and management and leadership.
Dr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with an emphasis in business administration from the University of California at Los Angeles. She earned her Masters degree in forensic sciences from National University. She earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. |
